Data Protection

Avexis Europe Ltd operates in full compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679) across all customer-facing interactions, supplier relationships, and internal record-keeping. Personal data is processed lawfully, transparently, and only for explicit and legitimate purposes.

Our data architecture is designed around the principles of data minimisation, purpose limitation, and storage limitation. Customers have the full range of rights guaranteed under the GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, and portability of personal data.

Taxation

Avexis Europe Ltd is registered for Value Added Tax in the Republic of Cyprus and operates across the European Union through the One-Stop-Shop scheme, ensuring that VAT obligations are correctly calculated, collected, and remitted in every Member State where our customers reside.

Business customers with a valid EU VAT identification number are not charged VAT on cross-border supplies, in accordance with the EU intra-community reverse charge mechanism. Eligible institutional customers may provide their VAT number during account registration or at checkout.

Corporate income tax is paid in Cyprus at the prevailing rate. All financial statements are prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards and audited annually by a licensed Cyprus statutory auditor, as required under the Cyprus Companies Law, Cap. 113.

Consumer Protection

All commercial activities conducted by Avexis Europe Ltd adhere to European Union consumer protection legislation, including the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and the EU Omnibus Directive (2019/2161). Pricing, return rights, and contractual terms are communicated transparently in the customer's relevant language.

Customer service is operated within European standards for response time, complaint handling, and dispute resolution. Out-of-court dispute resolution is available through the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.

Product Positioning

All products distributed through platforms operated by Avexis Europe Ltd are positioned exclusively for research and laboratory use. Each customer transaction is accompanied by clear Terms and Conditions that establish the research-use positioning and disclaim consumption by humans or animals.

Our positioning, marketing language, and platform design are maintained under disciplined editorial standards that reflect the research-use framework. We do not make medical, therapeutic, or health claims in any of our materials, and our supply relationships are structured to support this positioning end-to-end.
